Our client is a leading manufacturer of fluid process solutions, filtration, metering and blending systems and industrial valves serving sanitary, biopharmaceutical, industrial and municipal markets worldwide.

Its diverse product lines include pumps, valves, filtration, mixers, blenders, heat exchangers, fittings, and dispersion equipment.

THE JOB

Export Sales Manager

Due to continued success and expansion my client is now looking to recruit an experienced Export Sales Manager

Reporting to the General Sales & Product Manager and working with the Internal Sales Manager the main purpose of the role is to promote the sale of the clients pumps to existing customers within their Export markets, to seek new customers , new markets and new applications for their products within all territories.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  1. Make calls to affiliates (regional sales office\'s), existing and prospective customers to promote the features of the products and services to solicit enquiries and follow up quotations. In particular ensure all affiliates (regional sales office\'s), major customers and potential customers are regularly visited and kept informed on products and services. Convert quotes to orders, and to equal or better order intake plan.
  2. Review customer enquiries (technically and commercially), make technical selections, cost estimates and prepare quotations of order winning quality to customers and prospects where practical
  3. Evaluate and assess market trends, competition and participate in the product, price and promotion policy of pumps and aftermarket services
  4. Train and motivate Affiliates (regional sales office\'s), Distributors and Agents.
  5. Give Project and Product Support to affiliates (regional sales office\'s), customer and internal departments.
  6. Provide visit reports and liaison between all sections of the Operation to ensure timely and appropriate action is taken on customer and prospects requests
  7. In liaison with the Product & Sales Manager and Internal Sales Manager, design and write promotional literature and data to aid sales. Support marketing activities.
  8. Assist Department when required to help with busy quotation periods.
  9. Implement, maintain and improve the company\'s quality system.
  10. Assist in hand over of orders to contract, engineering, purchasing and production.
  11. Be available to travel at short notice due to the demands of the business (UK & Worldwide).

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

\" HNC or Higher in Engineering or experience in Mechanical Engineering / Rotating equipment \" Knowledge of Pumps would be advantageous \" Proven Sales Ability and record \" Have an ability to operate Microsoft office packages. \" UK Drivers License.

REMUNERATION

Basic salary Negotiable (depending on experience). Bonus, 25 days holiday (plus all statutory days), company pension, company vehicle.
